Rosie’s Diner, Leeds (Now Closed)

Overall Rating – 3/5

Decent grub and atmosphere, especially for families.

I visited here on a Friday evening and it was very busy indeed! Rosie’s is an American Diner type place based at Cardigan Fields in Leeds ,near the cinema and bowling alley, so is in a great location for all ages and occasions. They have an American yellow school bus that you can dine in and book for parties. There’s also a bar and pool table, so great to pop in for a few drinks if not to eat here too.

The food was decent, not the finest dining I’ve had, but I don’t think it is a place you would visit if you were looking for fine dining. I enjoyed it and pretty much emptied my plate, it wasn’t unpleasant by any means!

We shared the hot wings to start… I have to say I have had better chicken wings at a few places and prefer them to have a more crunchy skin. But that may just be a preference of mine. I had the Chilli Burger, which I loved and ate all of! My burger was piled high with chilli con carne and jalapenos, and had loads of sweet potato fries on the side, nothing to complain about there.

We also tried the Ruben burger which was also really good. We tried the slaw which was ok.

Before we went, we joined up on the website as members for 20% off the bill, which is a good idea as anyone can join and you get your discount card when you visit – which is a really good way of getting customers in too! All in all a decent place to grab some comforting grub with friends or family!
