Step inside Sakura; a secluded, beautiful restaurant based inside Panenka at New Era Square, Sheffield, serving aesthetic Asian Fusion food and fantastic cocktails. [Ad|invite]

If you’re looking for something a little more fancy & sophisticated for your evening meal out, then upgrade your Panenka Burger and Pint and step through to Sakura for a Cocktail & Beef Fillet or how about Pan Fried Seabass? With particular attention to detail in the presentation, the food here sets out to impress.

We enjoyed;

• Tandoori Lamb Cutlets (£12) – definitely on the pricey side, but were absolutely delicious
• Crispy Pork Bao Bun (£6) – the chilli gives a good slap of spice, and this is a really tasty starter
• Chicken Green Curry (£18) – this is a lot more green and thicker than a traditional Thai green curry but it was tasty and you get big, tender pieces of chicken in there. It comes with rice too, so a very filling portion
• Beef Fillet with fondant potato, spinach, mushrooms and a black pepper & truffle sauce (£26) – a little on the pricey side again but you do get a big, juicy piece of Beef which melts in the mouth and the portion is just right if you’ve had a starter

We really enjoyed the food we chose, everything was tasty. I enjoyed some mocktails due to driving, and Ben had a few pints of Madri on Draught. There are also a number of seafood dishes on the menu and a separate vegan menu on request. Check out their main menu on their website before visiting.
For a Midweek Meal, this is a real treat for something a little different, within a stones throw of the outskirts of town. Treat yourself and give Sakura a visit.
