And now they are looking exceptionally festive indeed, and have the perfect menu to soak up the sparkling atmosphere with too. [ad]

The George’s Festive Menu features timeless Christmas classics such as Turkey & all the trimmings and Christmas pudding, but also caters for other looking for more of a modern touch such as Smoked haddock & crayfish arancini and Pan-fried cod, roasted sweet potato & fennel bubble and squeak. From now until 31st December, enjoy 2 courses for £31 or 3 courses for £37 with half portions available for children at half the price.

We enjoyed;
- Slow-cooked pork belly, horseradish & carrot purée, white wine apple sauce, chorizo crumb (GF)
- Smoked haddock & crayfish arancini served with spinach & grilled courgette velouté (GF)️
- Roast turkey with braised red cabbage, Brussels sprouts, maple-glazed carrots and parsnips, duck fat & herb roasted potatoes, sausagemeat & cranberry stuffing, festive pigs in blankets and rich gravy
- Braised beef blade, creamy mashed potatoes, Bourguignon sauce and sautéed kale (GF)️
- Almond plum & blueberry crumble served with vegan vanilla ice cream (GF) (VE)
- Sticky toffee pudding served with a rich caramel sauce and vanilla ice cream (V)

Every course was delicious, we cleared every plate! Ben even demolished a dessert, which is unusual for him. The arancini was clearly made from scratch and I loved the sausagemeat stuffing. The atmosphere was magical, and the service was faultless. We hope to return again soon and highly recommend this pub restaurant to anyone visiting this part of the Peak District.
💷 Spend: Approx. £50pp for 3 courses and 2 alcoholic drinks
