M.EAT – Sheffield

Now open and serving so many delicious meats, burgers and sides. Their menu features brisket, spring lamb, short rib, chicken, links and more…

We were invited to an intimate pre-paunch evening in mid November, where we got to try a bit of everything apart from the pulled meat options, and we were blown away by how good everything was. Juicy, tasty, perfectly cooked meat… we struggled to choose a favourite but the brisket really stood out for me. It absolutely just fell apart and melted in the mouth. Even their Yorkshire puds and slaw was fabulous. The chimichurri on the links hot dog was also superb. It was an unforgettable meal for us.

The only thing I will say is that on the evening it was very cold in the restaurant (but they’d only just opened so cut them some slack!), and we left smelling very smoky due to the open kitchen and fire, but I am getting used to that with working in the food industry haha! Please be aware, this restaurant does not have an alcohol license.
