A lovely and lively tapas restaurant in the centre of Horbury, great to visit on a week night too!!
Overall rating – 4/5
££ – Approx £30pp for a good food selection and a few drinks.
Having to find somewhere close to where I work full-time to entertain colleagues, The Quarry in Horbury was recommended to me by a number of my Facebook followers! We dined there on a Wednesday night, 6 of us, and we thoroughly enjoyed it. Part of the Capri group, this Tapas Restaurant & Bar promises “a night to remember”.
The service was good even later on in the evening as the place got busier the service never lacked, it looked like there were a few parties that night. The menu offers a great selection of appetisers & starters, meat fish and veggie tapas plates, as well as a small selection of main meals and desserts. Tapas dishes include the likes of; Grilled Chorizo, Tortilla, Patatas Bravas, Pork Belly, Paella, Sea Bass and much more!
Between the 6 of us we decided to share 2 “Selection of Spanish Meat & Cheese” platters and 2 “Trio Of Hummus” sharing plates. This was just the right amount of food to start off nicely, and everything was really tasty. We then all chose 2 Tapas dishes each and passed them around between us so that we all got to try something that we may not have necessarily chosen. I love sharing food this way! Tapas is such a good idea for getting together with colleagues/friends/first dates, to really break the ice, but also to try small bites of different fantastic dishes. Everything I tried was delicious but I especially recommend trying the Cod, Sea Bass, Roasted Goats Cheese, Sweet Potato Wedges and the Meatballs (fairly spicy). We also all enjoyed a few wines & gins and had a really lovely Wednesday night!
Read more about The Quarry and check out their menu here. This is definitely somewhere I’d recommend and hope to return here to try even more!
Hope you get to visit some day and let me know what you think.
Happy munching!
