KELHAM’S NEWEST FOOD SPOT FOR SMOKEY BBQ LOVERS IS ALL FIRED UP! Heist Brew Co Tap in Kelham Island have had a kitchen switch around and is now the home of a Paddy & Crew’s (behind Rad Dude Food) new venture; Talon. Serving up some seriously good Smoked BBQ & Bar Snaxxx inspired by Southern America cuisine, their menu has been designed to perfectly pair Heist’s specialist craft beer offering whilst showcasing the mouthwatering trays of food simultaneously.

We were kindly invited to the soft launch of Talon a few weeks ago to try some of the amazing looking scran out. We enjoyed;

• Croquettes (check the Specials board for that week’s flavour, we had Habanero & Cheese) – lovely and crispy with a melted middle.
• Reuben Sandwich with fries – packed FULL of meat with sauerkraut, cheese & pickles. A reyt doorstop of a sarnie that was delicious.
• Smoked Meat Tray 1 (Beef Shin, Brisket & Smoked Sausage (sourced from local Pipers Artisan Sausage – all smoked in-house) with pickles, potato salad, bread & BBQ dip – a heavenly plate of Smokey goodness, we particularly enjoyed the sausage.

We snaffled every scrumptious morsel and washed it all down with some craft beers & fruit cider from the lovely Heist’s varied selection.
