Tattu, Leeds City Centre

Overall rating – 4/5

Fantastic food and cocktails, a real dining experience, but a small fortune!

I had the chance to experience Tattu (Leeds City Centre Restaurant & Bar serving “Modern Chinese Cuisine”) after winning an Instagram Competition for a 3 course meal for 2. I’d heard good things about it previously from friends, and after our own experience, I definitely recommend it myself!

As a note before you go, be prepared to pay a small fortune here. Maybe a visit for occasions, or opt for the set menu to keep costs down BUT if you’re prepared to spend quite a bit, the food and cocktails are worth it.

Cocktails pictured below – Strawberries & Dreams, Skull Candy. Cocktails priced around £10.

Food – I had the crispy belly pork for starter which was great and not at all over the top fatty. A decent sized starter portion too! Starter prices range from £5 – £13.

The Crispy Shredded Chilli Beef for my main with rice & steamed veg was really good. The beef was a little tough, but to be expected in this type of dish. Also came with a kick to it (which I love). Main dish prices range from £12 – £70!!

And then the dessert blew my mind! The “Cherry Blossom” was an experience in itself… if you like chocolate and a show stopper, this is the one! Chocolate and cherry presented in different ways. This was a superb end to our meal. Dessert prices range from £7 – £10.

In summary the food and service here was really good. It’s not just a “here’s your food enjoy” type of meal, select dishes come with theatrical presentation using dry ice. Prices are high range, but there are set menus that are priced from £20 (lunch) to £80 (evening) per person. I would definitely recommend experiencing a meal here, if only once, you won’t be disappointed.

Well I hope I’ve inspired you to give this place a try and if so, please share your photos/comments with me over my social media  FacebookInstagram and Twitter or email me at jen@jensfoodblog.com.

Happy munching 🙂
