WINGER WINNER CHICKEN DINNER!! – Last week I got the chance to devour unlimited Chicken Wings and sides at The Wing Kings, part of OHM Food Yard in Sheffield centre (No longer based here – find out where they’re at via their Facebook Page here, also available on Just Eat) as a competition win, and they were absolutely divine! Crispy, succulent battered chicken wings with either chips, waffles, buttermilk biscuit or cornbread with a choice of 15 sauces UNLIMITED on a Wednesday for £12.50 – what’s not to love??? Hands down the best wings I’ve ever had in the UK!!

Based in the OHM Food Yard which is situated at West One in Sheffield centre, this food pop-up serves fantastic fried chicken! The concept of OHM itself is a really good idea. A bar and dining area with 5 food vendors of which to choose different cuisines from such as pizza, Chinese, Portugese, wings etc! So it’s a great place to visit with a group who might want to try all different foods as well as enjoy a few drinks and socialising too.

I entered the Wing Kings Instagram competition on a Wednesday morning, and by the Wednesday evening I was stuffing my face with yummy chicken wings. OHM wasn’t overly busy when we got there just after 7 on Wednesday and there were just 3 out of the current 5 food vendors opens. Wing Kings was an obvious popular choice.

The offer we won runs on a Wednesday for Unlimited chicken wings and sides with a sauce of your choice. The portions are massive as are the wings so we only had to order twice before we were fit to burst! Ordering is easy just go up to the Wing Kings counter and give them your table number!

Our first round of wings took quite a while to be served but you should have seen our happy faces when they arrived! Served in foil trays, we each got 10 MASSIVE crispy-coated chicken wings drizzled in our choice of sauce – I went Honey Garlic Soy, quite sweet but I thought it would go well with the waffles side I chose – and it did, but altogether very sweet (good job I have a sweet tooth!). Ben went with Buffalo sauce – hot and spicy! And chips as a side. These were the best wings I have ever had in the UK! A contender with the US chain Buffalo Wild Wings, they were delicious!! We devoured our way through these and to be fair we were already quite full but didn’t want to stop!

Our second round came a lot faster and this time we shared and chose Sriracha Ranch sauce – perfectly spicy and cheesy, and more chips as there was no cornbread left. We got lots of chips this time! We made our way through some of this round but we were absolutely stuffed, it beat us. Great value for money at £12.50 each though and the drinks at OHM must have been on offer too as pints were £3!
