As my per my previous raving review of Yard & Coop which you can find here, I was delighted with their takeaway option during lockdown too – another solid 8.5/10! Gifted the opportunity to try their click & collect option when they re-opened for takeaway only, I couldn’t turn them down.

Ordering via the Yard & Coop website is easy enough and you can find the ordering service here. The only point to make on this was that I made my order on a Wednesday when you can get free Wings with every order and the charge is meant to come off at checkout, but I was charged for these…maybe it was because I was using a gifted code so couldn’t use 2 offers on the same order? But just to point out in case it’s a glitch and you have any issues.

Due to not living in or around Leeds City Centre or in a Deliveroo area, I had to collect the food myself with the only issue being that I had to pay for parking. But for the best Buttermilk Fried Chicken in town, it was well worth it. Following social distancing guidelines, the restaurant only allowed 2 collections at the allotted time, and my food was hot & waiting for me when I got there. Everything was boxed up well and even presented fairly well also.

Everything was so damn tasty, AGAIN!! I ordered the Buff Daddy burger, which I wolfed down! This came with a side of chips which was a large portion, the chips were chips, what can you say about chips really? Lol. I also ordered an extra side of Mac N Cheese which has to be the best Mac N Cheese I’ve ever had. Crispy on top, and lovely and creamy underneath. The extra “free” wings were smothered in BBQ sauce and there were loads! These were also delicious and I had some leftover as a snack the next day. Mum ordered the Dirty Katsu, which I’ve tried in the restaurant before and this was just as good as a takeaway! So much food, but too good not to eat!
Yard & Coop are still offering the click & collect service Wednesday – Sundays, as well as deliveries via Deliveroo but are now also open to dine in, so my recommendation is to try them however you can!
Well I hope I’ve inspired you to give this place a try and if so, please share your photos/comments with me over my social media Facebook, Instagram and Twitter or email me at jen@jensfoodblog.com.
Happy munching 🙂
